<p n="2562">said Act of Parliament: And also that in many of the said<lb></lb>
Rules and Orders considerable Sums of Money are allowed to<lb></lb>
be taken out of the Stock for the purpose of being expended in<lb></lb>
Funerals whereas the Chief Object of the Societies recognized by the<lb></lb>
said Act is to provide a Stock for the relief and maintenance of the<lb></lb>
Members of such Societies in Old Age and Sickness & Infirmity<lb></lb>
or to the relief of the Widows and Children of the Deceased: The <lb></lb>
Committee do not consider themselves at liberty to recommend the<lb></lb>
Confirmation of any of the Rules and Orders submitted to them<lb></lb>
in the state they are But are of Opinion that the same should be<lb></lb>
returned to the respective parties in order to introduce Rules and<lb></lb>
Orders to the Effect following.</p>
<p n="2563">1st. A Rule and Order requiring Securities to be given by<lb></lb>
Persons intrusted with the Funds of the Society in the manner<lb></lb>
proposed by the said Act.</p>
<p n="2564">2dly So to amend the Rules And Orders as that no greater<lb></lb>
Sum than Five Pounds shall be applied from the Funds of the<lb></lb>
Society to be expended on any Funeral.</p>
<p n="2565">3dly. That a Rule and Order be added describing the manner<lb></lb>
in which any Society can be dissolved according to the clauses of<lb></lb>
that said Act.</p>
<p n="2566">All which Your said Committee Submit Etc</p>
<p n="2567">And also some Printed observations on the said Societies<lb></lb>
and also the Act of Parliament being read by the Chairman.</p>
<p n="2568">Resolved that it be recommended to the said Societies<lb></lb>
or their Secretary or Agent to procure the said Book or<lb></lb>
Pamphlet and that they do make their Rules and Orders as <lb></lb>
conformable thereto as possible.</p>
