<p n="448">For the same, and such Fees Gratuities and Satisfaction and<lb></lb>
also all Expences to be incurred by any Sheriff or Gaoler in the<lb></lb>
conveyance of any such Offender whatever to the House or Place to<lb></lb>
be appointed for his or her confinement such Expences being<lb></lb>
previously examined and allowed by the Justices of the Peace at<lb></lb>
their Quarter or other General Session shall be paid by the<lb></lb>
Treasurer of the County or Place for which the Court in which such<lb></lb>
Offender shall be Convicted shall have been held to such Clerk of<lb></lb>
Assize or other Clerk of the Court and to such Sheriff or Gaoler<lb></lb>
respectively and every such Treasurer shall be allowed every such<lb></lb>
payment in his Accounts.</p>
<p n="449">From that period to the Year 1781 Mr Akerman<lb></lb>
received the last mentioned Fee and Expences of Conveyance<lb></lb>
from Mr Campbell or from Government who continued to pay the<lb></lb>
same till the time of the passing of the Act of the 24th Geo: 3d.</p>
<p n="450">By an Act of Parliament made in the 24th. Geo: 3 Cap. 56:<lb></lb>
for the effectual Transportation of Felons and other Offenders and for<lb></lb>
authorising the removal of Prisoners in certain Cases and for other<lb></lb>
purposes therein mentioned Sec: 3d. It is Enacted, That all Fees<lb></lb>
on delivering out of Custody of any such Offender so ordered to he<lb></lb>
removed as have usually been paid and would have been due to the<lb></lb>
<rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo283">Sheriff</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo283" type="placeName" value="Sheriff"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo283" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
or Gaoler in case such Offender had been removed in order to<lb></lb>
have been Transported and all reasonable Expences which the Sheriff<lb></lb>
or Gaoler shall incur in every such Removal shall be paid by the<lb></lb>
County Etc for which the Court in which the Offender was Convicted<lb></lb>
shall have been held and the Sheriff or Gaoler shall receive the<lb></lb>
Money due for such Fees and Expences from the Treasurer of such<lb></lb>
County Etc such Fees and Expences being first allowed by the Order<lb></lb>
of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55610_occ155">Justices of the Peace</rs>

at their Quarter or other General Sessions<lb></lb>
of the Peace who are hereby required to make such Order as shall<lb></lb>
be just in that behalf.</p>
<p n="451">In Pursuance of this Act of Parliament Mr Akerman<lb></lb>
