The following Letter received by the Clerk of the Peace from
Mr Samuel Bennett Secretary to the Society instituted for giving effect
to His Majestys Proclamation accompanying several Pamphlets being
read in the following Words Vizt.
"To the Clerk of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
"Sir,
"I am desired by the Society, instituted for giving effect
"to His Majestys Proclamation to request that you will deliver one
"of the Pamphlets, which you will receive with this Letter, to each of
"the Gentlemen of the Grand Jury at the ensuring Assize. The Society
"also request that you will be so good as to send one of them to
"each of acting Magistrates in your County: If the Number of
"Pamphlets is not sufficient, you will be kind enough to inform
"me of it, and others shall be sent; but if you have more than are
"wanted, I beg the favour of you to return the remainder.

The Clerk of the Peace informed the Court that he
caused one of the Pamphlets to be delivered to each of the Gentlemen
of the Grand Jury, and the remainder of them were distributed
amongst the several magistrates present.
