myself to the lenity and goodness of the Court to forgive my Non attendance
and to do me the justice to believe it proceeds wholly from the unaciousness of
my Character which every Man ought to possess; At the same time I think it
my duty to say that I shall ever most faithfully obey the Instructions and
Commands of the Court when applied immediately to myself.

To, Thomas Stirling< no role > Esqr
Session House. Clerkenwell .

Resolved that Mr Crunden in his Answer to the Officials
Letter of the Clerk of the Peace has been guilty of a great disrespect to this Court
and that he be summoned to attend this Court on the County day of the next
Session at One of the Clock to answer such Questions as the Court shall propose
relative to the manner of his Executing his said Office of Surveyor

The report of the Committee relative to the Irregularities
committed in the Execution of the Office of Surveyor for this County being read
All the Gentlemen who were present declared that they had always executed
their Offices in Person and not by Deputy They stated several difficulties
which occurred to them in putting the Act in Execution but proposed to call a
Meeting amongst themselves to settle the best means of obviating the same
and of carrying the Act into Execution in the best manner possible as the
Law now Hands which was approved of by the Court.

Henry Holland< no role > Esqr then declared to the Court the
Resignation of his Relation Mr Richard Holland< no role > of his Office of Surveyor for the
District of the Liberty of Saffron Hill, Hatton Garden & Ely Kents those parts of
the Parishes of St Clement Dane and St Maryle Strand as lie within the
Liberty of the Dutchy of Lancaster and the Precinct of the Savoy .

Resolved that this Court will proceed to the Election of a
proper Person to execute the Office of Surveyor for the said district in the
stead of the said Richard Holland< no role > on the County day of the next General
