February 1786

At this Meeting Mr. Leroux produced to this Committee a
Pencil drawing of a Plan for an House of Correction of which he considered
No. 1 as the Basis But it appearing to the Committee that the Deviations from
that Plan however ingenious were so essential as to constitute a new and
distinct Plan of itself rather than an Adoption of the Plan No.1 they were of
Opinion that it would be most adviseable to adhere as closely as possible
to the said Plan No. 1 with only the Alterations suggested at the several
Meetings of this Committee Mr. Leroux was therefore desired to reconsider
the Plan and to form another as similar as possible to that which the
Committee have made the Basis of their Resolutions and where in a
particular regard may be paid to the number of Prisoners the mode of
Confinement the Nature of their Employment with every other Circumstance
which can be collected from the Minutes of their Proceedings and which
can be applied to the Plan No. 1 adopted by this Committee. Which Mr.
Leroux undertaking to do by Saturday the 18th. of February, Resolved
that this Meeting be adjourned to that day

The Sixth Meeting was held as P Adjourmt . on 18th. February 1786

with a Plan of the Ground in Cold bath fields : In this drawing by Mr.
Leroux it appeared that great Attention had been paid to the Requisitions
of the Committee and to the provisions directed by the Plan No. 1 The several
particulars were gone through with great attention more especially by
the professional Gentleman present at the Committee. But in Order to
obtain yet Fuller satisfaction and that this Committee may be Enabled
