tatives of Baines
Mr Chairman Stated to the Court That he had had Several Conferences
with the Agents employed by Jervoise Clerke Jervoise Esqr. and the Representatives
of Mr Baines and that they had at length proposed to take the Sum of £4000 heretoford
offered by the County for the purchase of the whole of the Eight Acres of Ground in Cold
Bath Fields Mr Chairman also Stated to the Court that he had seen Messr. Milne
and Couse who had been employed by His Majestys Justices of the peace to Value
the above mentioned Ground and advise the Magistrates respecting the same and
that it was their Opinion it would be highly to the advantage of the County to close
with the Proposal and that they recommended the same accordingly.
The Resolution
of June Session
That Four Acres

rescinded.
A Motion was made by Sir

and Seconded, That
the following Resolution made in June Session last Vizt. "Resolved that is the
Opinion of this Court that four Acres are found to be sufficient for all the purposes of
the County in this matter and that the Chairman be requested by Virtue of the Power
heretofore invested in him by this Court to treat with Mr Jervoise and others for
the four Acres" be rescinded which was Resolved Unanimously. And
it was further Ordered That the Chairman be desired and impowered and here
hereby desired and Impowered to complete the Contract with the said
Jervoise
