ought to be made to the Sallary of the said Thomas Gibbes< no role > upon Examine [..]
of the respective Keepers of New prison and Clerkenwell Bridewell as to the
increase of the numbers of prisoners and their State of health as well as to the
attention given by the said Thomas Gibbes in the Execution of his duty an [..]
being fully satisfied that the allegations in the said Petition are Just an [..]
True as well of the Skill and Abilities of the said Thomas Gibbes [..]
Committee are of Opinion that an Addition of £40 a Year
made to the Sallary of the said Thomas Gibbes< no role > as Surgeon and Apothecary [..]
the said prison and it appearing to the Committee that the Sallary which the said [..]
Thomas Gibbes receives at present is paid unto him Quarterly It is
Recommended to the Court to Order the said increase of Sallary
to be paid in the same manner and that the first Quarterly payment the
be made on the usual day for the payment of his former Sallary next
ensuing the County day of the last Session of the peace holden for this County

And the said Committee further Report
That as to the other matters in reference to them the said Committee
are prosecuting the necessary means to their accomplishment

At which the Committee Submit

It is Ordered that the said Report be Confirmed and the said
Report of the Committee is hereby in every thing Ratified and Confirm [..]
accordingly And it is further Ordered that the said
Committee do proceed under the references to them made

By adjournment Same day

Edward Bindloss< no role > Esqr . one of his Majesty's Justices of the
peace for the County of Middlesex having informed the Court that Jonathan
Chadwick Durden Esquire one other of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for this County had been guilty of certain Misdemeanours in the Execut [..]
of his Office and that he was ready to prove same He laid before the
Court the following Papers Vizt.

November 11. 1777 Andrew Archer< no role > came before me and Swore th [..]
one Ann Young< no role > had robbed him of a petticoat and three Quarters of
Yard of New Cloth I granted my Warrant which was discharged
the 17 Instr. by Mr. Durden for want of Evidence the (as I am
informed the prisoner had the petticoat upon her
