That no less than £56..2..6 of the said Sum of [..]
hath been paid pursuant to the Warrants or orders of James Field< no role >
& William Hyde< no role > Esquires Justices of the peace for the City and Liberty
of Westminster and that such Sum of £56..2..6 hath been paid
rewards for the supposed apprehension of One hundred and Nine [..]
Vagabonds only That £37..10..0 part of the said Sum of £56.. [..]
hath been paid pursuant to the orders or Warrants of the said
James Fielding< no role > and that the said Sum of £37..10..0 hath been p [..]
to Eight persons only that Mr. Fielding hath not once in the h [..]
aforesaid awarded less than Ten Shillings for the apprehension
a Vagrant and that Several of the orders for Rewards so grant [..]
by him, are for Thirty Shillings to one person for apprehending
three Vagrants in one day

It appears also to the Committee that £18..12 [..]
the other part of the said Sum of £56..2..6 hath been paid
pursuant to the orders or Warrants of William Hyde< no role > Esqr . above
named and that this sum of Money hath been also prinicip [..]
distributed among the same Eight persons to whom the mon [..]
awarded by Mr Fielding was paid and Mr Hyde hath also
general awarded Ten Shillings for the apprehending of a Vag [..]
and Especially to the Eight persons above mentioned and that
many of the orders made by the said Mr Hyde are for Thirty
Shillings to one person in one day

It appears to the Committee also that almost [..]
the Warrants of Mr Fielding and Mr Hyde for rewards for
apprehending Vagrants though signed separately are yet fill
up in the same hand writing and many of them only setforth
that the persons apprehended were "Wandering abroad & have
"no place of any Habitation" Wandering abroad and destitute
"any habitation" which the Committee conceive are not
specifically declared by the Act of Parliament of the 17th. of his
late Majesty to be acts of Vagrancy and that therefore the
said Justices were not legally authorized to order any reward [..]
