9th December 1773

Articles of Agreement were entered into with Mr John Mist< no role > Paviour
to pave and repair the Haymarket for 21 Years for the annual Sum of
£70 which allowance was afterwards augmented to £90 and the term
Extended That at the expiration of the said Term which happened in
the Year 1756 it was referred to a Committee to see what further should
be done in regard of the Haymarket but from that time there Appears
no Orders in the Books either concerning the determination of the said
Committee or in any wise relative to the Haymarket , Articles of
Agreement however seem then to have been enter'd into by the
Committee of Justices with one John Wilkins< no role > a Paviour his
Executors Administrators and Assigns a Copy whereof is hereunto
an next whereby £100 a Year is allowed him for the term of 21 Years
in consideration of his paving and repairing the said Haymarket and
it is agreed that if a larger Sum should be annually collected by the said
Toll than the aforesaid £100 and an Allowance of 4s/ in the Pound for
collecting the same then the said Wilkins was to pay the overplus at the
end of his Term to the Justices which Term will expire on Lady day
1777 and under these Articles of Agreement the Haymarket has
from that Time past been paved and repaired

That it appears to this Committee said Wilkins is dead and that
the said Agreements are now executed by Mr William Davis< no role > the
Executor of the said John Wilkins< no role >

That the Committee have obtained from Mr Weaver the Collector
an Account of all Monies by him received, and distributed out of the
Toll of the Haymarket (vizt) from January 1756 to April 1773
which Account is likewise hereto annexed.
