that the said Mr. Mainwaring be desired to accept<lb></lb>
of the Sum of Fifty Pounds out of the public stock of <lb></lb>
this county as a gratuity for such his Care and trou-<lb></lb>
ble and as a satisfaction for such Expences It is<lb></lb>
Ordered that he be desired to accept of the said <lb></lb>

<p n="582">Memorand. Mr. Chairman acquainted Mr. Mainwaring<lb></lb>
in the room adjoining the great dining room with the Court's<lb></lb>
request whereupon Mr. Mainwaring acquainted the Coet.<lb></lb>
that he did not accept of the £50. but that he should<lb></lb>
expect to be paid a Sum equal to the rate of £5.<lb></lb>
P cemb. of the charge of the works, for his expence<lb></lb>
and trouble, as a Surveyor.</p>
