Aldermen of the City of London be and is hereby declared and directed to be the
Assize of Bread from time to time in and for this County; and till further Order of
this Court, of which all Persons concerned are to take Notice.

Order for Keepers of
Publick Houses not be
suffer Persons to continue
drinking & tipling in their
Houses in time of Divine
Service on Sundays.

On the same day It was Ordered That no Keeper of any Tavern, Inn
Coffee House, Victualing House or Alehouse within this County do for the
future suffer or permit any Person or Persons whatsoever to be and continue
drinking and tipling in his or their House or Houses during the time of
Divine Service on the Lords day called Sunday And that if the Justices of the
Peace for the said County shall have Information given them of any Person
or Persons offending against this Order all such Persons shall be punished
as the Law in such Cases directs And this Court doth recommend it to the
several Justices of this County in their respective Divisions that they do not
Licence any such Person to keep any Publick House in the said County
at the time of their next Licensing.
