by the said Robt. Wright< no role > ,

Whereas Edward Bowles< no role > Esqr . Surviving Assignee of the Estate and Efforts of Robert
Wright Esqr. late Coroner of the County of Middx a Bankrupt exhibited his humble
Petition unto this Court Setting forth That on the twenty third day of January One thousand
seven hundred and forty eight a Commission of Bankruptcy under the Great Seal was
awarded and issued against the said Robert Wright< no role > whereupon he was duly declared
a Bankrupt And that the said Robert Wright< no role > died on or about the twenty first
day of November last without having obtained his Certificate And that the
Commissioners in the said Commission named on the twenty first day of February last
executed to the Petitioner and one Casper Fan Assignment of all such
Estate and Effects as the said Bankrupt was possessed of at the time of his decease
And that the said Casper Fis since dead whereby the Petitioner is intituled
as the Surviving Assignee. (for the benefit of himself and others the Creditors of the
said Bankrupt) to all such Efforts as belonged to the said Bankrupt at his decease
And that the Petitioner hath been informed and has great reason to believe there was
due to the said Bankrupt (by virtue of his Office of Coroner of the said County of
Middx) at his decease a considerable Sum of money from the said County And the
Petitioner therefore humbly prayed this Court to order that the Treasurer of the
said County way (out of the first money that shall come to his hands belonging to
the said County) pay to the Petitioner such Sums of money as was due to the
said Robert Wright< no role > by virtue of his Office of Coroner of the said County at the
time of his death Now for as such as it appeareth to this Court by Writing under
the Hands of George Errington< no role > Francis Bedwell< no role > and Bartholomew Hammond< no role >
Esqrs . three of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County that they had
perused two several Lists of Inquisitions taken on View of dead Bodies in the
said County by the said Robert Wright< no role > deceased since the twenty fourth day of
June One thousand seven hundred and fifty two and chargeable on the said
County by virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the twenty fifth year of the
reign of King George the second Intituled An Act for giving a proper
Reward to Coroners for the due Execution of their Office and for the Amoval of
Coroners upon a lawfull Conviction for certain Misdemeanors one of which said
Lists begins on the twentieth day of January One thousand seven hundred and
fifty three and ends on the thirtieth day of April in the same year and the other
of the said Lists begins on the eighth day of May last past and ends on the
fourteenth day of November last past And that the money payable for the
Allowances to be made to the said Robert Wright< no role > deceased by virtue of the said
Act of Parliament for the said two Lists doth amount to the Sum of fifty one pounds eighteen
Shillings and six pence This Court being satisfied of the truth of the premisses
doth Order that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of the said County of Middx do pay
the said Sum of fifty one pounds eighteen shillings and six pence unto the
said Edward Bowles< no role > whose Receipt together with his Order shall be a
sufficient Discharge to the said Treasurer for such payment.
