This Court having had Intelligence that a Jubilee Masquerade
Ball was exhibited at place called Ranelagh House
in the
Parish of Chelsea
within Kensington
Division in this County
on the twenty fifth day of April instant, at which a great

Concourse of People were assembled, and that Gamesters and
disorderly Persons have formerly frequented Assemblies
holden at the Said place called Ranelagh House
where Several
Persons have lost and been defrauded of their Moreys, and
that divers other disorders have been committed, It is Ordered
by this Court that

Division in the Said County do forthwith
respectively with their respective Petty Constables make an
Enquiry and get the best account the can concerning what gaining
or other Disorders (if any) have been committed and when
and by whom at the Said Assemblys, and to taken an Account
thereof in writing, And that they
layattend and lay the Same
before a Committee of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
of this
County in this behalf appointed to receive the Same at Hicks
Hall in St. John Street
on Tuesday the eighth day of May
next at ten of the Clock in the forenoon.

on the twenty fifth day of April instant, at which a great Concourse
of People were assembled, and that Gamesters & disorderly
Persons have formerly frequented Assemblies holden at the
Said place called Ranelagh House, where Several Persons
have lost and been defrauded of their Moneys, and that divers
other disorders have been there committed , And this Court being Satisfyed
that Such Assemblys tending to the Encouragement of Gaming
Lewdness, Debauchery and the Corruption of the Morals of
his Majestys Subjects are unlawfull and a publick Nusance
