Order for Mr. Higgs the
Trearer to pay Several Sums
of Money amounting
together to £129. to the
Inspectors appointed to
put a Stop to the Spreading
of the Distemper amongst
the horned Cattle.}

A Report being made unto this Court by Pierce
Galliard Merry< no role > Teshmaker & Samuel Tatem< no role > Esquires
being a Quorum of the Committee of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of
the Peace of this County in this behalf appointed touching the
Account of Moneys alledged to be due to the Inspectors
appointed to use their endeavours to put a Stop to the
Spreading of the Distemper amongst the horned Cattle in
this County for their Labour and Paines about the Same
It appeareth to this Court that the Said Committee have
examined the Said Account, and find the Same to be true
In which Account is mentioned that there are due to the Said
Inspectors (to wit)

Joseph Walker< no role > from the 7th. of July 1748
to the 8th. of December 1748 inclusive being
154 Days at 5s. a Day} £38.10s.0d

Edward Tomkins< no role > from Ditto to Ditto at Ditto-£38.10s.0d
Thomas Lane< no role > from Ditto to Ditto at Ditto-£38.10s.0d

John Westbrook< no role > from the 15th. October
1748 (the day he was again appointed Inspector
to the 8th. December 1748 both inclusive) being
54 Days at Ditto} £13.10s.0d

This Court being Satisfied of the Truth of the Premisses
Doth Order that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do
pay unto the respective Inspectors abovenamed the Said respective
Sums of Money written over against their respective Names
which Sums together amount in the whole to the Sum of one
hundred and twenty nine Pounds, And the respective Receipts
of the Said respective Inspectors together with this Order
Shall be Sufficient discharges to the Said Treasurer for Such
respective payments.
