Order appointing
a Comittee to
settle the form of
a licence for
Alehousekeepers,

This Court being minded that a more proper forme
of a licence (for the allowing of the Victuallers &
Alehousekeepers in this County to utter & sell bread
beer, ale & other Victualls by retail) than hath
been formerly made use off, shall hereafter be
settled, Doth hereby Order that it be And It
is hereby recomended & referred unto Sr. Henry
Bateman

Harvey Esqrs. Justices of the peace for this County
& such other of his Maties. Justices of the peace
for this County as shall think fit to be present
or any three of them as a Comittee to assemble &
meet together at Hicks hall in St. John street in
this County at such time or times as they shall
appoint, And to consider off and settle such
form of a licence (for the allowing of the Alehouse-
-keepers & Victuallers in this County to utter & sell
bread beer ale & other Victualls and to sell brandy
& other distilled liquors by retail) as the said
Comittee shall think proper for that purpose,
And to lay such forme of a licence before his
Maties. Justices of the peace for this County to be
assembled at the next Generall Quarter Sessions
of the peace to be holden for the said County.
