concerning him
& Mrs. Seymour

Upon reading the humble Petition of Francis Geary< no role >
Exhibited unto this Court Setting forth that the Petitioners
Some Years pass agreed with Mrs. Seymour to have the Fees
of the Court at Hicks hall the benefit a accrewing by Licences
renewed and all other Advantages belonging to the Cryer
and House keeper there for so long a time as the said
Mrs. Seymour Should enjoy the same on Condition
the Petitioner paid her Forty Pounds in hand and Forty
pounds more at the expiration of the Year in the whole
Eighty pounds per Annum And the Petitioner was also
to pay the said Mr: Seymore one Guinea every
Sessions for her Assistance in provideing Dinner for
his Majestys Justices of the Peace at Hicks Hall the
Petitioners house being then remote and the Petitioner
was further, at his own Charge to defray the Expences
of such Dinners and to pay Servants Wages and
provide Linnen and other accomodations That the
Petitioner hath not only performed the aforesaid
Contract but hath paid severall Considerable
Sumes of Money for Law charges on Mrs. Seymours
account in getting her possession and on other accounts
which the Petitioner is ready to make appear, that
notwithstanding Mrs. Seymours is disatisfyed and
demands of the Petitioner One Hundred and Ten
Pounds per Annum Rent which he by no means
can pay And therefore humbly recommend his Case
to the Consideration of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace of this County and humbly hopes under the
Agreement aforesaid and well behaving himself
towards his said Majestys Justices of the Peace he
may be still Continued in his Place And upon
Consideration had by this Court of the Petitioners
Complaint and of the Inconveniencies which may
arise from any Extravagant Demand or Payment
out of the Profitts of the said Offices of Cryer and
House keeper Itt is Ordered that it be and it is
hereby recommended and referred unto William
