opposite the aforesaid Alehouse as going to fight and Dept interfered<lb></lb>
& made them both go into the House & they were put into seperate<lb></lb>

and Dept says that Jones seemed a verse to fighting and sayed<lb></lb>
he would rather put on his Cloaths than fight, that he did not want<lb></lb>
to flight him (the deced) or any other man; but the deced insisted on<lb></lb>
fighting, and therefore they again went into the street, and there<lb></lb>
fought together, says several blows passed between them, and also<lb></lb>
several <gap reason="illegible"></gap>
false; Dept says the persons around persuaded them to give<lb></lb>
ever fighting, and that Jones was willing to do so, and sayed he would<lb></lb>
rather not fight, but the deced insisted on fighting until one of them<lb></lb>
should gain the day. Dept says the last blow that was given, was by<lb></lb>
Jones who struck the deced as Dept believes on the left side of his body<lb></lb>
which knocked the deced down, and he was taken up and led into<lb></lb>
the House apparently much hart; says he afterwards while in the<lb></lb>
House appeared to be very ill and speechless, and Dept assisted to put<lb></lb>
him into a Coach <gap reason="illegible"></gap>
to take him house and a person went in<lb></lb>
the Coach with him.</p>
