<p n="31">The Humble Petition of the<lb></lb>
Consumers of Oats within the City of<lb></lb>
London and the Liberties thereof</p>

That for sometime past the common Market<lb></lb>
Price of middling British Oats at the new Corn<lb></lb>
market in Mark Lane hath exceeded the Sum of<lb></lb>
sixteen Shillings the Quarter-the Continuance whereof<lb></lb>
your Petitioner apprechend will prove very detrimental<lb></lb>
to the City in general and to your Petitioners in particular</p>
<p n="33">That your Petitioners are cardy to make<lb></lb>
the Truth hereof appear and to prove the same in<lb></lb>
such manner as by the Statutes in that behalf is<lb></lb>
required</p>
<p n="34">Your Petitioners therefore<lb></lb>
most humbly pray that this Honble.<lb></lb>
Court will take their case into<lb></lb>
consideration and proceed to examine<lb></lb>
and determine the Common Market<lb></lb>
Price of middling British Oats<lb></lb>
as the same is now, and hath been<lb></lb>
lately bought and sold in the Markets<lb></lb>
of this City and to certify the same<lb></lb>
to his Majesty's Chief Officer and<lb></lb>
collector of the Customs in such<lb></lb>
manner as by the Statutes in this<lb></lb>
behalf is required and directed</p>
