<p n="360">The examinant saith that she goeing with Mrs <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15003_n360-912">Ann Gunn</rs>

executed for the murder of Dr Clenche she the said Mrs Gunn talkeing with this<lb></lb>
deponent said if some body had their deserts they would be there aswell as he<lb></lb>
and then laughed & said there is some body laugh in their sleeve now, but<lb></lb>
whom the said Mrs Gunn then meant this depont doth not knowe neither<lb></lb>
did she then aske the said Mrs Gunn whom she meant thereby And this<lb></lb>
depont further saith that a woman passing through the Croude at the execution<lb></lb>
of the said Mr Harreson asked whether the said Mr Harrison had crooked<lb></lb>
Leggs and thereupon the said Mrs Gunn said to this depont doe you heare there<lb></lb>
is noe smoake but there is some fire, & she saith that Mr <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15003_n360-1">Francis Milward</rs>

who was suspected to be concerned in the murder of Dr. Clenche had crooked<lb></lb>
Leggs. And she saith that she being in Company with one Mr Harper & the said<lb></lb>
Mrs Gunn after the death of the said Drs. Clenche & in the lifetime of the said<lb></lb>
Mr Milward she the said Mrs Gunn talkeing of the said Mr Milward & telling<lb></lb>
the said Mr Harper that he the said Mr Milward hard beaton & threatned to<lb></lb>
bents againe her ye said Mrs Gunn & that this depont had said that she did<lb></lb>
knowe some of the said Mr Milwards Secreets he the said Mr Harper then<lb></lb>
asked this depont if she knewe any of the said Mr Milwards Secreets & this<lb></lb>
depont sayth that she replyed that she did not & said that ye said Mr Milward<lb></lb>
had concealed his Lodgeings from her and the said Mr Harper replyeing said<lb></lb>
it it much Mr Milward denyes himselfe to you, for he hath said he would<lb></lb>
trust you with the greatest secreet in his Brest. And this depont saith that<lb></lb>
she said Mr Milward was a person she did not Care to be neere when ye<lb></lb>
was angry & thereupon Mr Harper told this depont if you knowe any of<lb></lb>
his Secreets I knowe ye will never doe you any harme that I dare<lb></lb>
warrant you or used words to the same purpose. And she saith that<lb></lb>
afterwards the said Mrs Gunn asked this depont when they were in Bed<lb></lb>
together whether she knewe any of the said Mr Milward Secreets, & pressed<lb></lb>
her this depont if she did whether it was not about Dr Clenche is death and<lb></lb>
what she knewe of it. And this depont Saith that she then told the said Mrs<lb></lb>
Gunn that she did not know any of the said Mr Milward secreets nor<lb></lb>
anything about them under of the said Dr Clenche otherwise than what was<lb></lb>
the genrall discourse of the Towne of it. And she saith that she was at the<lb></lb>
Lord Cheife Justice Holts Chambers with the said Mrs Gunn about the matters<lb></lb>
aforesaid and that the said Mrs Gunn endeavoured to persuade this depont from<lb></lb>
goeing againe to him about it & told this depont that she was a foole to be<lb></lb>
concerned against the said Mr Harper, & that the said Mr Harper had said<lb></lb>
that he would appeare at ye next Sessions without further Trouble, and<lb></lb>
that she the said Mrs Gunn said that if she this depont appeared there she<lb></lb>

would never be able to walke ye streetes or ye said Mrs Gunn<lb></lb>
used words to the effect aforesaid And this depont further saith that<lb></lb>
she doth not knowe that ye said Mr Milward Mr Cole and Mr Harper or any<lb></lb>
of them were anywayes concerned in the Murder of the said Dr Clenche and<lb></lb>
denyeth that she did ever heard the said Mr Milward, Mr Cole, & Mr Harper<lb></lb>
or any of them confesse acknowledge Say or declare that they or any of them<lb></lb>
murdered the said Dr Clenche or were any wayes concerned in or about the same<lb></lb>
And she further saith that she doth not knowe where ye said Mr Harper now<lb></lb>
lodgeth now did ever knowe the lodgeings of the said Mr Harper.</p>
