The Informatioins of Jeremiah Heable
of No 7 One Tun Court in the Strand Waterman
and James Canwell< no role > of No 4 Ship Court
in the Old Bailey Porter taken on Oath
before me this 29th. day of August 1789.

Who being on Oath severally say an first the
said Jeremiah Keable< no role > for himself says that about one oClock
in the Afternoon of Tuesday last being a Waterman at Hungerford
Stairs he remembers Francis Grimmett< no role > now present bringing
a box there and going with it in a Wherry to the Surrey side
of Black fryars Bridge that in about three Minutes after
laid box was put into said boat he this Informant was
employed by a Person now present who calls himself Richard
Coleman
< no role > and another person who called himself Bowyer to
Carry them to the North side of Black fryars Bridge that during
their Passage said Bowyer acknowleged that the box which
said Francis Grimmett< no role > was carrying in the Wherry was
his property and that it Contained Doctors Stuffs, That
Informant landed said Coleman and Bowyer at the North side
of Black fryars Bridge where said Coleman paid this Informant
an half Crown being Two Shillings more than his fare, And
further says that said Bowyer was dressed in black Cloaths
and appeared to have a beard of Three Weeks growth and
the said James Canwell for himself says that he is a Porter
in Fleet Market thataboutbetween One and two O Clock on
Tuesday last he was employed by a man of the above description
Dressed in black Cloaths with a Long beard to go with him to
the Surry side of Black fryars Bridge to Carry two Loads
