Who beingupon Oath severally say and first the
said Elizabeth Smith< no role >
for herself says that about half on hour
past three o Clock this afternoon as she was sitting in the parlour
behind the Shop she saw the prisoner now present who calls
himself John Cowell< no role >
go out of the Shop withthe Bundlea Parcel
upon which she ran to the Door called out stop thiefAnd the said William
Vesey< no role >
for himself says that he was present in said Glass
house Street and heard Mrs Smith call out stop thief at which
time he saw the said prisoner John Cowell< no role >
with a Parcel
under his Arm, run down Vine Street. And the said
Charles Gasling for himselffurthersays that he was also
present and heard said Mrs Smith call out stop thief and
that he saw the said John Cowell< no role >
the prisoner now present
run down Vine Street with a parcel under his left Arm that
he this Informant pursued him through George Court into
Piccadilly
where he was Apprehended, That in George Court
aforesaid
