The Informations of George Lawson< no role > & James
Cox
< no role > and Thomas Peace< no role > taken before me
this 3rd. day of June 1789

Who being severally upon Oath say and first the said
George Lawson< no role > for himself saith that this Morning as he
was attending W Robins's Sale Room in Covent Garden to take
Care of the Articles upon Sale, a person now present who
calls himself John Glover< no role > came to the room and ask'd to look at
a Ring which was membered in the Catalogue, which this Informant
Shewed him,and which Ring athat Prisoner took the Ticket or
Lot off the said Ring and put the ring into his pocket as he this
Informant believes, upon which this Informant immediately
seized the prisoner and asked him for the Ring which he denied
having saying he had delivered it back againAnd this
Informant James Cox< no role > for himself says that he assisted
in searching the prisoner, during which Time the prisoner
pulled off his Gloves and threw them upon the Ground with
the rest of his Cloaths, and that upon searching one of the said
Gloves he this Informant found the Gold Ring now produced
And the Said George Lawson< no role > further saith that he
saw the ring now produced taken out of the said Glove, and
that such Ring is the same he shewed to the prisoner and
from which the prisoner took the Lot a Ticket, and that the said
Ring is the property of his Master Mr. Henry Robins< no role >
