The Information of Charles Maynard< no role > and
Joseph Kerson< no role > . taken before me one of His Majty
Justices of the peace for the said County City
and liberty this [..] 4 day of August 1787

Who being on this Oaths do severally say and first the said Charles Maynan< no role > for himself saith that
he is a Waterman and keeps a House in Church Street Lambeth . that on Friday the third of August
he went out of about one at Noon on his business leaving his Wife [..] home to whom he gave particular
Charge to take care of a Boat Tilt marked Charles Maynard< no role > Lambeth [..] 1785 of the Value
of Ten Shillings which said Tilt was left hanging on a Wall [..] the F [..] Door of this House, that on his
return at above Nine the same evening his Wife informed him then the said Filt had been Stolen from thence
but the Thief was in Custody. and the Tilt Secured for him

and the said Joseph Kerson< no role > for himself saith that he lives in New Way Westminster and keeps a Shop
in the Brokering Way . that about Six in the Evening Life Friday the 3d. of August a Woman (whose name
he is since informed is Ann Lee< no role > come and Offered a Watchmans Tilt to him for Sales but she seeing Charles
Maynard
< no role > Lambeth 1785 painted on the outside imagined it to have been Stolen and therefore Stopt it
on which the Woman went away but he soon after with the assistance of his F [..] er (who is a Constable)
took he and brought her before Magistrate who Committed her to Bridwell and then Went to Lambith to
inform the owner
