Thorne< no role > and Mary Parrock< no role > , and John Arms< no role > Stones taken on Oath the Tenth
day of August 1784 before me one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

This Informant Maria [..] Thorne John Saith That on Thursday the
Fifth day of August Instant there was feloniously Stolen from
the Dwelling house of her Husband Edward Thorne< no role > of Forts [..]
in the Liberty of the Old Artillery Ground with in the Liberty
of the Tower of London One Cotton Bed Gown, One Riding
shirt a Quantity of Lace sunday Handkerchiefs and
other things the property of Stephen John And further
Saith That one piece of flowered Limen and four Neck
Handkerchiefs now produced by John Armstrong< no role >
Head bought of Shoreditch is part of the property of the
said Stephen Johns< no role > so stolen as before mentioned.

This Informant Mary Parrock< no role > saith that she is a Servant
to one Joseph Haley< no role > who has Lodgings in the Dwelling house
of Edwards Thorne of Fortsteel above mentioned And further
Saith that on the Fifth day of August Instant she called
in Edward Humphry< no role > and George Read< no role > the Prisoners now
under Examination (who was then in the Steel with a
Cart to carry dust from the House) to come into Mr.
Thornes house and take the dust from there, and
accordingly [..] the said Edward Humphry< no role > and Read came in and,
took the dust away and that no person bender the said
Edward Humphry< no role > and George Read< no role > came into the house
while the dust was taking away, and that on her
going into the Passage of the house She there saw an
Empty Baskett in which she had just before seen a
Quantity of Cloaths.

This Informant John Armstrong< no role > on his Oath Saith
That one Saturday last the fifth day of August Instant
he [..] having before received an Information
of a Robbery having been Committed in Fortsteel
aforesaid he went to a place called Taylors Rents in
Kingsland road in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex and searched
