Middlesex to Wit.

That Information of John Alcock< no role > of Saint
Martins Land Watchmaker taken before one
this 16th. day of June 1784

Who being upon Oath saith that on Thursday last
between the hours of four and five o'Clock in the afternoon two
Men came into this Infromants Shop under pretence of
wanting a Watch GlassThat during the time he was
talking to said Men a person now present who calls himself
William Stone< no role > came in and asked the Price of some Time
Pieces in the WindowThat whilst this Informant was fitting
a Hand to one of said Mens Watches the asid Stone took from
out of a Shew Glass in this Informants Shop a Metal Watch
That Suspecting they had robbed him he went into an adjoining
Rooms to pitch his Hat during which they all went away
That he pursued after them and in a Court in Maiden Lane
he saw them all together who on seeing this Informant
immediatlely ran aways And further says tha he doth
very beleive the said William Stone< no role > to be the Person who
stole said Watch out of his Shew Glass
