These are to Certify that at the Delivery of the Kings Gaol of Newgate holden for
the County of Middlesex at Justice hall in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of the City of
London on Wednesday the fifteenth day of January in the twenty third year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc. Before Nathaniel Newnham< no role >
Esquire Mayor of the City of London James Addir one of his Majesty's Serjeants at Law
Recorder of the said City and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned
to deliver the said Gaol of Newgate of the prisoners therein being Catherine Casey< no role > of the Age
of Forty years, John Leo< no role > of the Age of thirty one Years and James Church< no role > of the Age of
eleven Years were severally Convicted of feloniously receiving Stolen Goods knowing them to
be Stolen and Ann Bridgen< no role > otherwise Fuller of the age of Twenty fourYears
Ann Smith< no role > of the Age of Twenty five Years, Elizabeth Wilson< no role > of the Age of forty six Years
Mary Casey< no role > of the Age of Sixteen Years, Mary Pyle of the Age of Sixteen years, Elizabeth
Mercham
< no role > of the Age of twenty two Years, Joseph Lamb< no role > of the Age of nineteen Years,
Sarah Pearce< no role > of the Age of Twenty two years, Mary Windsor< no role > of the Age of twenty two
Years, Elizabeth Nasion of the Age of forty Years, Edmund Sharp< no role > of the Age of thirty years,
John Moore< no role > of the Age of eighteen Years, Richard Bennett< no role > of the Age of thirteen years,
Elizabeth Pass< no role > of the Age of eighteen Years, Richard Bennett< no role > of the Age of thirteen years,
Mary Williams< no role > of the Age of twenty eight years and Ann Hagar< no role > of the Age of thirty six
Years were severally Convicted of Grand Larceny And were then and there severally
Ordered and Adjudged to be imprisoned and kept to hard Labour in the House of
Convection at Clerkenwell (to wit) the said Catherine Casey< no role > , John Leo< no role > and James Church< no role >
for the space of two Years; the said Ann Bridgen< no role > otherwise Fuller for the space of
Eighteen Calender Months; the said Ann Smith< no role > , Elizabeth Wilson< no role > , Mary Casey< no role > , Mary
Pyle, Elizabeth Mercham< no role > , Joseph Lamb< no role > and Sarah Pearce< no role > for the space of twelve Calender
Months and the said Mary Windsor< no role > , Elizabeth Nasion, Edmund Sharp< no role > , John Moore< no role > ,
Ann Holt< no role > Elizabeth Pass< no role > , Richard Bennett< no role > , Mary Williams< no role > and Ann Hagar< no role > for
the space of six Calender Months And the said Ann Smith< no role > , Elizabeth Wilson< no role > ,
Mary Windsor< no role > and Elizabeth Nasion were also further Ordered to be privately Whipped
pursuant to the Statute in such case made and provided Dated the twenty second day
of January in the year of our Lord 1783.
