The Informationof and Voluntary Confession of Lisot Coleman [..]
Lisot Coleman of Saint Dunstan Stepney in the saw [..]
an Evidence on his Majestys behalf and
Taken this 28th day of October 1782 before us two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being Oath saith that between seven and Eight O Clock on Thursday
Evening last he in Company with John Peters< no role > now present, and
Richard Heales< no role > and John Firth< no role > went to the house of
Heales (father to the said Richard Keates< no role > ) at the Globe at
Mile End when they staid kill between Eleven and Twelve
O Clock. That they all Fourthreecame out of the house together
and event to Stepney where said John Firth< no role > parted
with Informant Peters & Keates. who proceeded immediately
to a house in Narrow Street Ratcliff lately occupied by the
saidKeates the Father when said Richard Keates
proposed taking his Boat and going up the River. That
Informant. Richard Keates< no role > and John Peters< no role > accordingly
got into the said Boat and rowed in the [..]
as Stone Sta [..]
from thence One [..]
they Put into Keates's BoatThat they afterwards [..]
to a Barge which lay Off the East India Ware houses and
took from thence a large Quantity of Shop Six. Twelve &
Eighteen Pounders. That they then returned to the houseoflately
Occupied by Keates in Narrow Street aforesaid in order
to unload the Boat, but werewasSeized and Apprehended by
John Bigg< no role > Headborough of Ratcliff. Saith that at the time
they came to [..] the Boat as aforesaid he then and their
Saw Joseph Bennett< no role > now presentand Thomas Kelvie< no role >
who made his Escapenow present and another person who [..] made his Escape unloading a Skiff in which was a
large Quantity of Junk which Informant verily believes
was Stole and which they Informed him they had got in
from Woolwich or Deptford. Lastly Saith that he never
was directly or undirectly Concerned either with the above
