that Last Night, (being Saturday the Second of December instant<lb></lb>
1775, he was at his shop in <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45023_geo1718">Oxford Market</rs>

o'Clock at Night, he was Alanned by the other Informant<lb></lb>
Margaret Vialls (his Wife) coming to him and telling him<lb></lb>
That his House had been broke open, and Robbed, upon<lb></lb>
which he went directly home, And upon his Examining<lb></lb>
he found that the House had been broke open, and Entered<lb></lb>
at the Back Parlour Window by the breaking of a Pane<lb></lb>
of Glass and Unscrewing of a Screw, by which the Sash<lb></lb>
was fastened down, Which Sash Window he found open<lb></lb>
and the broker Glass lying Without and some within<lb></lb>
the said Room, And upon Examining further, this Informant<lb></lb>
found, That a Matrogony Bureau which Stood in his fore<lb></lb>
Parlour, had been broke open, And many of his Papers<lb></lb>
which were in the said Bureau were Scattered about<lb></lb>
some upon the Floor, & Some about the Bureau, And<lb></lb>
that a Bank Note of the Value of Thirty Pounds, together<lb></lb>
with some Money both Gold and Silver and likewise<lb></lb>
a Chrystal Stone Sleeve Studd Set in Silver, had been<lb></lb>
taken and Carried Away. And this Informant further saith,<lb></lb>
That he doth Verily believe The Bank note of Thirty<lb></lb>
Pounds now produced, to the Bank Note which was<lb></lb>
taken and Carried away but of his Bureau as aforesaid. And<lb></lb>
does likewife believe That the Two Guineas in Cold, and<lb></lb>
Thirty Six Shillings and Six pence in Silver Also produced,<lb></lb>
was taken and Carried Away out of this Bureau as aforesaid<lb></lb>
And this Informant is positive and certain that the Chrystal<lb></lb>
Stone Sleeve Studd set in Silver, Now produced is his property,<lb></lb>
