above named maketh Oath and
Saith that James Grubb< no role >
who keeps the Sign of the Kings Head
at
Puddle Dock
and who is Serjeant
of the Buckinghamshire
Militia and John Nichols< no role >
a Common Soldier
belonging to the
said Militia are two material Witnesses for and on behalf of
this Deponent and without whose Testimony he this Deponent
cannot safely proceed to Trail And this Deponent further saith
that he did on Tuesday last send Mr. Lightfoot a friend of this
Deponent to the House of the said James Grull who upon his
return informer this Deponent that he had been at the House of
the said James Grull and that he was there informed that the said
James Grubb was gone to join the Militia in Buckinghamshire
aforesaid and that John Nichols< no role >
was gone with him and
which information this Deponent verily beleives to be true
And this Deponent saith that he is not able to Produce the
said James Grubb and John Nichols at this Present Session
but hopes and verily believes that he shall be able to Produce them at the next Session
