sd. paper writing purportg. to be a promisory
Note is as followeth

Recd. 30th May 1768 of the Amicable Society
held at at Mr. Thos Langfield< no role > the Green Man
in Bedford Street the sum of Fifty pounds by
the Hands of George Robinson< no role > & David Dennison< no role >
Members of the said Society which we promise
to Account for on Demand with the Intrest of
five pounds P Ct P Annum

upon the back of which sd, promisory Note
on 19th. March last at St. John the Evangelist
(the sd. Sum of £50: contained in the sd. Note
being then Due & Unsatisfied) Feby. did Forge
& Counterfeit a certain Receipt & Acquittance
for the principal money in the sd. promisory
Note contained & the Interest Money due thereon
which sd. Receipt & Acquittance is to the
Tenor followg.

Received March 19th. 1772 of Mr. Pearce the
Principal & Interest for one year & Eight
Months in full for the within Note for the
Amicable Society
