Public-Office, Bow-Street , October 9, 1771.

To Horse-Dealers, Etc.

STOLEN the 8th Instant, some time in the night, out of the stable of Captain
Langdon, at West Wickham, Kent, a bright bay gelding, about fifteen hands,
and an inch high prising six years old; the off-foot, behind, white; a thin black
tail, lately out, with a full white blaze in the face, and is a remarkable sightly
horse for a hunter has been some what wrung upon the near shoulder with the
harness, but only a small scab remaining, and is now shedding his coat, and like-
wise a saddle and bridle.

N.B. Whenever he is curried, on the inside the knee joints, he is remarkably
tender, and can hardly endure it.

Whoever stops the said horse and thief are desired to apply to Mr. Newport, at
his Stables, in St. Martin's-Lane , and they shall have all reasonable charges, and
be handsomely rewarded.

A HORSE STOLEN.

Stolen Last Night, a bright bay gelding, coming seven years old, not quite fourteen
hands high, strong made, full in flesh; rainbow necked and full maned, walks
remarkably well, his ears cropt, but not short, a full blaze in his face, a full nag
tail, pretty long, roughly cut about the feet, and new shod with steel pointed
shoes, his off foot behind a good deal white, and the near foot before a little white
and a London silver plated bit and bridoon bridle, made by CARR. (and a Saddle)

Supposed to be stolen by Charles Green< no role > , a young man, about five feet nine inches
high, slim made, has lately had the small pox, and has a fore mouth, had a brown
coat, lapelled, with white buttons, and spatterdashes made of ribbed worsted stock-
ing, buttoned up the sides (since in Booth and skurs) buckskin breeches, and a Thanet hat, with gold lace:
he wears his own hair with false curls.

Whoever will give such notice to Sir JOHN FIELDING< no role > as may be the means of
recovering the said horse, and apprehending the person who stole him, shall receive
a reward of five guineas from the owner
