taken before me this 1st. day of May 1771
Who being upon oath severally say and first the said Roger
Moser< no role >
for himself says that in the night of the 9th day
of April last his house situate in Aldersgate Street
in
the City of London
was Burglariously broke open and
two Pair of Silver Shoe Buckels a Pair of Silver Knee Do
a Silver Stockle Buckle and about thirty Pounds in Money
was feloniously taken and carried awayand the said
William Woodland< no role >
for himself says that on the Ninth day
of April last about 12 o Clock at night he saw several
Persons standing at the aforesaid Mr. Moser's door, that
he saw them lift a Boy which was in Company through
a Glass Window belonging to the said Mr. Mosers house
says he then went with his father and laid hold of one
of the Persons which came out of the housethatsays he
had a great Struggle with him and that the said Person
Stabbed him in the back with a Knife or some other
Weapon, and this Informant further says he doth verily
believe and Suspect that a Person now Present who
calls himself John Settle< no role >
is the Person that Stabbed
him as aforesaid
