Who being upon Oath says that on Sunday the first day of
March Instant being at the Lodgings of William Coltart< no role >
in the
Hay Market
in order to pack up and bring away some Books
belonging to Charles Irwin< no role >
now present the said Goltart upon
her telling him that she had packed up the Books and was
going home pretended there were some in his Room, and accor-
-dingly went into his Room pretending to shew her them, that
she followed him & as soon as she got into the Room the said
Collart locked the Door upon her, and by force and violence threw
her upon his Bed and then and there feloniously against her
will and Consent ravished and carnally knew her notwithstanding
her Resistance and Intreaties to the contrary, says she did not
cry out, says she believes the said Coultard gave her the venereal
Disease, says the Reason why she did not cry out was because
she was afraid of her Life, says she did not communicate Mr.
Coltart's Behaviour to her to Mr. Irwin until Mr. Irwin
complained to her of having contracted the foul Disease, as
he supposed from her, which was as she believes in about
4 or 5 days, says that she fully intended to have communicate
it to him but was afraid, says she did not communicate
the said Coltart's Behaviour to her to any Person before
she communicated it to Mr. Irwin and farther says she made
all the Resistance in her Power
