Who being upon Oath severally say and first said Thos. Gaskin< no role >
says says that as he was driving a
Post Chaise in which was Major Spinnage Sir John Fielding< no role >
's Clerk Wm Marsden< no role >
and John Adams< no role >
now Present last Friday Sevenight from
Kensington
to Hornslow
at about 12 o'Clock at Night near
the end of the Lane that leads to Twickenham
a Person
came up to theandhead of the Horses presented a Pistol
to the boy and bid him stop, that Immediately another Man
she appeared to be an Accomplice said you Scoundrels
why don't you go up to the Chaise and demand their Money
says the first Man then went up to the Chaise and demanded
Money and that a Pistol was Immediately Tired and
after that two others, that one of the Men was chessed in
Regimentals the other in his Watering Jacket, say he was
aforesaidImmediately afterwards present when two Persons
now present who call themselves John Evans< no role >
and William
Swift< no role >
were Apprehended and that said Swift had a Pistol
concealed under his Coat, and Henry Brooks< no role >
for himself
saith that he was the first Post boy that drove as above
and that a Light Horsemanley appearance in his Watering
Jacket came up to the Horses presented a Pistol to him and
as he believes bid him stop, says he afterwards saw the same
Man go up to the Chaise and that he heard three Pistols Fired off
that at this time he saw another Man in his Regimentals who
said some thing to the other but what he does not know
