The Information of William Compton< no role > & Saml.
Clay
< no role > This name instance is in set 4652. when before me one of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the sd County

Who being sealy. on Oath say & first this Inft. Willm.
Compton
< no role > for himself saith on Monday Night last about
7 in the Evening this Inst. [..] he was in his one Pr. of Sla [..]
bash Room where he puts his Money [..] to Exchange
and Six Shillg & him [..] & then saw his Money safe the Windows & all fast &
about Ten o'Clock the same [..] Inst then Infs was alarmed
the some person had broke into the Room by getting
in at the Window which he found broke & open & the Inf went into his Yard & saw
Ladder rised up agt. the Window & upon going into the
Room he found the Draw where the Money was had began broke
open & the Money amounting as he bult. to be about twenty
Pounds with a Bank bill of Ten Pounds & two pair of
Sit on Buckles [..] & Two Crown Peins & a Frunl Crown
Stole thereout and then Inf suspecting a Person now Present
who calls himself Chas Sebrey< no role > to have stole the same he
cared him to be apprehended by the other Inst. who
then confessed the breaking into his boure as assd. by Setting
up the Ladder & breaking the Window and the other Ins took
out of his pocket one Pr. of Silver Buckles were produced and
Eleven G and half [..] & thethen Crown Peins now produced and
out of a Prisch Pocket in the Waist band of his breches
a Bank Note now Produce which are the Property of this
Inst. & stole out of his Draw as assd. And then Inf Sam Clay< no role >
for himself saith that on Wednesday Morning last
