taken before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for
the County aforesaid.
Who being upon Oath saith that on Tuesday last this Informt
between 4 or 5 in the Evening came out of her Room up our pair of Stairs
and she then saw her Husbands Silver Watch hanging up bythe said of
the Chimney And this Informt. went down Stairs to Elizabeth
Nutman< no role >
who was then her Servt
. and was at, that time Cleaning the
Stairs and some short time after one Mathews a Lodger of this
Informt. came in & asked her for a Bottle which this Informtdid
had then in her Room up stairs And this Informt. did thereon Order
the said Elizabeth Nutman< no role >
to go up stairs for the said Bottle which
she did and brought the Bottle down and left the same in the Passage
And this Informt. thinking the said Nutman stay'd long went to the
Stair foot and Called her and on receiving no Answer this Informt.
went up Stairs and into the Room and then found her Husband Watch
was Stolen and the said Elizabeth absconded And this Informt. saith
that no other person but the said Elizabeth did go up Stairs from the
time of this Informt's. seeing the said watch to the time of her missing the
same Neither did this Informt. knew what was become of the said
Elizabeth till she was Informt. by her Husband that he heard the said
Elizabeth was in Tothillfield
