An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at The Parish of Acton
in the County of Middlesex the Sixth Day of January in the 23d Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of Elizabeth Harrison< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Thomas Aldridge< no role > Thomas
Briggs the younger, John Stevens< no role > Samuel Vincent< no role > , William Whittle< no role > Nathaniel
Cook, Emanuel Freethy< no role > , William Carter< no role > , William Charlton< no role > , Samuel Teesland< no role > Thomas
Judge and John Bagshaw< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said. Elizabeth Harrison< no role >
came to h er Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said Elizabeth [..]
Harrison not being of sound Mind Memory and Understanding but Lunatic and distracted on
the Fourth Day of January in the Year aforesaid One End of a small Cord to a Nail
in the Cellar of her the said Elizabeth Harrison< no role > in the Parish and County aforesaid
and the other End thereof about her own Neck did fix tye and fasten And therewith
did then and there hang suffocate and Strangle herself of which said Hanging
Suffocation and strangling she the said Elizabeth Harrison< no role > then and there died And
so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say That the said Elizabeth
Harrison not being of sound Mind memory and understanding but Lunatic
and distracted in manner and by the Means aforesaid did kill herself

In Witness whereof, as wellasthe said Coroner; as the said Thomas Aldridge< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
