The Churchwarden informed the Overseers and
Vestrymen now present that he had procured from
the Session House at the Old Bailey
the Commissioners
returns of the Amounts of the House and other Taxes
for this Parish and Saint James Dukes< no role >
place by which
according to the late Act of Parliament the charges of
raising the eleven Men by the said two Parishes for the
Service of the Army was to be apportioned between them
the Amount whereof for this Parish was £2941 and for
Saint James Dukes< no role >
place £326 and as the whole
Expence of raising the said eleven Men would as near
as he could ascertain cost the two Parishes about
£430 this Parishes proportion thereof would amount
to about £387 And it having been taken into
consideration which would be the best Mode of raising
the said Money Resolved and ordered that the
same be paid out of the Money to be raised for the relief
of the Poor for the Quarter ending the 5th. day of April next
