The Vestry then proceeded to the choice of a Master of the
Workhouse
belonging to this Parish in the room of John Hawkins< no role >

petitioning for the
said place were severally put up, and the Majority appearing
for the said Whitebread Vokins, he was declared duly Elected at
the Salary & upon the same Term as his Predecessor held the
said place.
At a Vestry held at the Workhouse
on Friday the 5th.

Ordered that Mr. Bayzand do give to the late master of the Workhouse
and to John Lane< no role >
Son of the late Mistress the Sum of five Pounds
as a Gratuity for their Extraordinary Care & diligence during his
Wardenship And that the same be allowed in his Account
Ordered that Mr Bayzand do likewise give to the Beadle the Sum of
Fifty Shillings for his Extraordinary care & diligence during this Warden
-ship And that the same be allowed in his Account.
