Butt a Poll being Demanded On the Behalf of Wm Barwell< no role >
was Granted, and began imediately it being then Eleven of ye Clock
in ye forenoon, and continued About a Qr. of an houre-but
the Church Wardens, Observing there was not persons Appointed
for both Candidates, to each book, As Inspectors, Adjournd the Poll
for a Qr of An hour by Proclamation, Inspectors being
settled, ye Poll was continued untill One of ye clock in ye affternoon
and was then Adjourn'd by Proclamation untill three of ye Clock
in ye Afternoon, At which time ye books were Opened & continu'd
untill About Six a Clock,-Then by Proclamation ye Poll was
Adjourn'd untill Fryday ye Sixth
of ye Said Tust. At three of the
clock in the Afternoon.
Att which time, Two Books were Open'd, & the Poll began and
About half An hour after very few Persons Appearing to Poll
Proclamation was made that the books Should be Closd at Five of
the Clock precisely, Where of all Persons who had a Right to Poll
were desired to Take Notice, for no Polls Should be Allow'd
after that time, And from half an hour After three to five
Frequent Proclamation was made, to Poll, to Poll, and no
body Appearing the books were Closed According to Proclamation
And cast up in the Vestry, in the Pressence of the Inspectors
and it then Appeard, That Charles Dymond< no role >
had the Majority
