A Motion was made and seconded whether the Alms houses
at Islington should be sufficiently repaired under the Direction
of the present Churchwardens or not so as the Expence thereof
do not exceed £20 and on the Question being put it was
voted and carried in the Affirmative and Ordered Accordingly
A Motion was made and seconded And the Question put
whether the Expence of taking the Poll for Parish Clerk between
Mr Pycroft and Mr Baldwin shall be paid by the Parish or not
Voted and Ordered that the said Expences be paid by the Parish
but not to exceed £20 And that the same be paid by the Renter
Church Wardens and allowed in their Accounts but this not to
be a Precedent for any future Election
At a General Vestry held forth freedom and
Lordship parts of this Parish in the Vestry Room
of the Church on Thursday the first day of December
1757

The said Church wardens (no others being present) proceeded
to make the Rate of three pence in the Pound for the several.
purpose mentioned and directed by the last General Vestry and
made a Considerable progress therein
Adjourned to Monday next the 5th. instant
at 10
o' Clock in the forenoon at this place in Order to
finish the said Rate.
