This Indenture Witnesseth That Elizabeth Emerton< no role > Daughtr .
of Elion Emerton< no role > late of St Buttolphs without Algate Lond Butcher Decdd
by the Assistance of the Church wardens of the sd Parish hath
put herselfe Apprentice to Thomas Helpe< no role > of St. Mary Matfellon at White Chapell
in the County of Middx [..] And with him after the manner of
an Apprentice to serve from the Day of the Date of these Prsents for and
unto the full end and terme of Seaven Years
from thence next ensuing fully to be compleate and ended During wth terme the sd
Apprentice her sd Master faithfully shall and will serve his Secrets keep his lawfull comands
every where gladly do she shall do no damage to her sd Master nor see it to be done of others butt
to her Power shall let or forthwith give notice to her sd Master of the same The goods of her said
Master she shall not Waste nor the same without Licence of him to any give or lend Hurt to
her sd Master she shall not do cause or Pcure to be done she shall neither buy nor sell without
her Masters Licence Taverns Inns or Alehouses she shall not haunt at Cards Dice Tables or
any other unlawfull Game she shall not play
nor from the service of her sd Master day nor night absent her
selfe but in all things as an honest and faithfull Apprentice shall and will demean and behave
herselfe towards her sd Master and all his during the said Term And the sd Master his said
Apprentice in the Art Mistery or Occupation of buying and Selling all Sorts of things that his
Wi [..] now useth shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed the best way
and manner that he can finding & allowing unto his sd Apprentice Sufficient wholesome
Meat Drinke Apparel Washing Lodging and all other Necessaries Fitting & Convenient
for such Apprentice Dureing ye sd Terme
And for the true Pformance
of all and every the sd Covenants and agreements either of the said Parties above sd
Do bind themselfe unto Each other firmly by these Presents In wittnesse whereof the sd
Parties to the these Indentures Interchangably have set their hands and Seales the
Fifteenth day of Aprill in the Tenth Yeare of the Reign of our
Soverign Lord William ye third by the grace of God of England Scotland France and
Ireland KingDefender of the Faith [..] Annoqr End 1698:
