Philip Tibbs< no role > of the Parish of St George
in the Said County Cheesemonger maketh oath that
he well Knew Alexander Watt< no role > & Ann< no role > his wife who are
Both lately dead leaving behind them four Children
their lawful issue to Wit Ann< no role > Aged about thirteen Years
George< no role > Aged about eleven Years Phebe< no role > aged about Six
Years & Alexander< no role > aged about nine Months who are all
likely to become Chargeable to the Said Parish of
St Botolph without Aldgate in the Said County none of
which Children to the Knowledge or belief of this Depont
have as Yet done any Act to gain a Settlement for him
her or themselves That in the Years 1775 1776 & 1777 the
Sd Alexander Watt< no role > the Father lived in & rented a house
in the Sd Parish of St George to Wit in Artichoak Lane
there & during Such his residence there in he was Charged
to & paid Kings Taxes for the Same as Appears to this
Deponent by three Several Receipts under the hand of
Mr Philip Pine< no role > the then Collector of the Said Tax
there That to the best of this Deponents belief the Sd
Alexander Watt< no role > did not afterwards rent a house of the
Yearly rent or Value of Ten Pounds or Serve Any Parish
Office or pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or do any
Act to gain a settlement elsewhere
