The Voluntary Examination of Mary
Mangrell
< no role > of the Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate
in the sd County Singlewoman taken on oath before
us two of his majesties Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County this eleventh day of February
one thousand Seven hundred & eighty five who saith
that on the seventh day of January now last past she
this Examinant was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child at the house of Mrs Sellwood in the Maze Tooley
Street in the Parish of Saint Olave Southwarke in the
County of Surrey which was baptized in the sd house
by the name of James Mangrell< no role > & is Since become
chargeable to the said Parish of St Botolph without
Aldgate She this Examinant being Poor & not able to
provide for the Same and that one James Blair< no role > of
the said Parish of St Botolph witht Aldgate Sailmaker
did get her with Child of the said Bastard Child
