discover or Set forth the Place of Settlement of her late
husband William Thomas< no role > deced That She this Depont
previous to her marriage with him was hired & lived as a
hired servant by & with Mr Charles Price< no role > a Farmer in
the Parish of Chockley in the County of Chester at Certain
wages & Continued in Such Service under Such hiring
for the Space of three years & has not Since done any Act
to gain a subsequent Settlement Save what She Acquired
by her Sd Marriage That She hath two Children namely
Ann Thomas< no role > aged four years the lawful Issue of this
Examinant by her Sd late husband & William Riley< no role >
Aged one year & half who was born of this Examinants
Body in the Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the
Sd County who is a Bastard & that one William Riley< no role >
a Soldier now belonging to the first Regiment of Foot
did get her with Child of the Said Bastard Child

William Jacobs< no role > deced maketh oath that her Said
late husband heretofore rented a house of twenty
five Pounds a year in upper East Smithfield in the
Parish of St Botolph Without Aldgate in the Sd
County & resided thereon for about the Space of
Six Months & did not afterwards rent a house of
the yearly rent of Ten Pounds or Serve any Parish
Office or Pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes
or do any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement
That She Since his death hath not done any Act
to gain a Settlement for herself That She hath a
Child named Edith Jacobs< no role > Aged Ten years & Seven
Months the lawful issue of this Deponent by
her Sd late husband to whom She was lawfully
Married the which Child hath done no Act to gain
a Settlement for herself
