Margery Crichton< no role > the Wife of James Crichton< no role >
mariner who is now absent from her at Sea maketh oath that
about Six years ago her said husband took & rented a house of
the yearly rent & value of Ten Pounds in new Gravel Lane in
the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the County of
Middlesex & whereon his sd Wife & family Continued & resided for
the Space of Ten Weeks & by means thereof as she this Depont
is advised her sd husband gained a legal settlement there that her
Said husband had not Since rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value
of Ten Pounds not served any Parish office nor paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes nor to her knowledge or belief hath he done
any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement & that She hath two
Children namely Thomas aged< no role > about nine years & James
aged
< no role > about three years the lawful issue of this Deponent by
her said husband
