of the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate in the said County
Singlewoman taken on oath before me Burford Camper< no role >
Esquire one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County this 23d. day of October 1773

Who on her oath Saith that She is now with child And that the
said child is likely to be born a Bastard and to be Chargeable to
the said Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate And that Simon
Daves
< no role > of the said Parish Watchmaker is the Father of the said Child
and this Examinant farthr Saith that sometime ago she was hired &
lived as a hired Servant by the year With Samuel Daves< no role > (the Father of
the sd. Simon Daves) who then lived in Mill Yard in the Parish of Saint
Mary Whitechapel in the sd. County of Middlesex Jeweller and Continued
in such Service there for the Space of Thirteen Months at the yearly
Wages of Four Pounds And then this Examinant removed with her sd.
Master Samuel Daves< no role > to Lower Eastsmithfield in the said Parish of
St. Botolph without Aldgate where she Continued as his Servant under
such hiring & wages as aforesaid for the Space of Five Months and
this Examinant has not Since lived as a hired Servant for a year nor done
any Act to her knowledge or belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement.
