William Steele< no role > Maketh oath that about fourteen
years ago he lived as a hired servant by the Year without
Mr Kirkman of Friday Street in the Parish of St
Matthew in Friday Street in the City of London Ribbon Merchant and
Continued in such service for the space of Two years at
the yearly wages of Four Pounds and by means thereof
as he this Depont. is advised gained a legal settlement
there That this Deponent afterwards Married and then
lived again as a hired servant by the Year with Mr
Riverton a Bookseller in St. Pauls Church Yard London
and Continued in such lastmenconed service for the space of
a year but during such lastmenconed service he was a
Married Man. And this Depont. saith that he hath not
since lived as a hired servant by the year nor Rented a
house of Ten Pounds a Year or upwards nor served any
Parish offices Nor done any Act to Acquire a subsequent
settlement And that he hath a wife Named Ann< no role > and two
Children to wit Mary Ann< no role > aged two Years & a half and
John William< no role > Aged four Months the lawful issue of
this Depont. by his sd. Wife

of January 1761 before
