Middlesex ss.

Thomas Friend< no role > maketh Oath that his late
Father Thos. Friend< no role > deceased has informed him that
he was duly bound Apprentice by Indenture for
Seven Years, to David Wilson< no role > who then lived
at the Corner of Mouse Alley Eastsmithfield in
the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate in the
County of Middlesex Carpenter & Joiner [..] And that
he duly served the whole of his said Apprenticeship
with his said Master there, and never did any
Act to his knowledge or Belief to gain a
Subsequent Settlement, That he this Deponent
was born in the said Parish & Baptized at
Aldgate Church , And further for himself saith
that he has never been an Apprentice or lived
as a hired Servant by the year or Rented
any House or Lodging of the Yearly Rent or
Value of Ten Pounds or paid any Poors Rate
or Kings Tax or done any Act to his knowledge
or Belief to gain a Settlement in his own
right That he was lawfully Married at
Shoreditch Church about Fifteen Years ago
to one Elizabeth How< no role > , but where She now
is he cannot tell, She not having lived with
him for Several Years
