decd. who was her first Husband, maketh Oath
that she was Married to her said first Husband
James Carver in Ireland about Thirty Seven
Years ago, and about Seven Years after her said
Marriage came from thence with her sd. Husband
to England ,that her said Husband never Rented
any House or Lodging of the Yearly Rent or
Value of Ten Pounds or paid any Poors Rate or
Kings Tax or did any Act to her knowledge or
Belief to gain a Settlement in England, that
she this Deponent about Twenty Years ago &
since the Death of her said Husband was hired
& lived as a hired Servant by the Year with
Mr. Osmond of Houndsditch in the Parish of St.
Botolph Aldegate London Carpenter at Certain
Yearly Wages & continued in his Service under
such hiring upwards of one Year, that some
time after she quitted his Service she was
Married in Hampshire to her Second Husband [..] Noah Chapman
lately decd. But that she has been informed that
the said Noah Chapman had a Wife living at
the times of his Marriage with her as aforesd. And
that she is now living & in the Workhouse of
the Parish of St. Sepulchre London , And this
Deponent further smith that she has not done any
Act to her knowledge or Belief to gain a Sattlemt.
in her own right since her Servitude as aforesd.
